The Marines profess that they never leave a fellow solider behind. Christ made a similar promise about his Christian flock, but the difference is significant. The Marines take back one(s) of their own from enemy territory–wounded or not. Christ does the same, but He resurrects the deceased body, no matter what the degree of discomposure, into a new kind of bodily form. Even if you’re a cremated Christian, plan on being reassembled (with a different system) –instantly!

Of course, the Marines save physically while Christ saves the soul from eternal damnation. But make no mistake, that soul God saves at a Christian’s death is joined to its counterpart body at Christ’s glorious return.

The only way to escape death on this Earth is to still be alive as a Christian when Christ returns. But even then, the assent into the clouds to meet your maker might do you in. No problem. Christ’s already got you(r) back. Amen?

The bigger fish generally feeds off the smaller. In Jesus’ scenario, the bigger fish(ermen) are the servant slaves of Christ, Who commanded as His disciples to follow Him and become fishers of men. This (The Gospel) is the biggest fish story ever told because (Captain) Christ, to His fishermen followers, gives them the spiritual motivation to bring the lost into Christ’s spiritual boat of (His) Grace. This motivation I speak of comes from the gratitude that Christians share for His saving grace, exclusive of any of their works.
