This one-armed bandit is about to select three bitten apples. Bites of sin (from Adam and Eve (and all humankind, following). Their sin (and ours, too) results from the three avenues of temptation: lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. Fortunately, God provided a plan of salvation for all.

The only way for Adam and Eve (and us humans, too) to get back on the same page with God, again, before they (we, again) ate the apple, is through Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. In essence, Jesus puts back our bite (of sin) in the apple by taking-on our sin Himself. HE’s the scapegoat for all our iniquities–period. And if we seek to have peace in the afterlife, we best be aware of the consequences of not being baptized into the Body of Christ. Amen? (In case you cant’ see it in the photo of the painting because it’s so small,  Jesus is replacing each person’s bite coming out of the open, middle shoot cover with his name vertically placed).
