“Vaccinations save lives; Christ’s blood saves souls.” To take advantage (getting vaccinated) with the vaccines that man has developed to combat these various strains of COVID-19, is not, so to speak, turning our respective backs on our collective Christian trust in God’s protective power for His saints (Christians).

I look at the COVID-19 situation as parallel to God providing rescue operations, through man, for stranded extreme weather victims. Whether man chooses to grab hold of a helicopter life-line or not, is totally up to him. In my mine’s eye, relying totally on God, without taking advantage of what God has provided through man’s initiatives, is testing God to protect you, much more than just trusting Him to do so. And we (Christians) know that we shouldn’t put our God to a test as exemplified in Jesus’ refusals of Satan’s enticements in the wilderness.

The big picture of life after death (in Heaven, or in Heaven on Earth) is covered by the people who connect with Jesus Christ in baptism before their death. This covers their souls in eternity. For the here and now, COVID-19 vaccinations are critical for bodily survival–accompanied with much prayer, that is.
