I’ve got a neighborhood friend who I would call a very quirky, installation artist. He enlightened me to “Burning Man,” which is an event taking place every few years out west in a desert location. It’s a week of crazy, artistic happenings, frequented by high-rollers as well as the liberal common folk. At each event’s conclusion, a huge structure of a man (different materials used each time) is set on fire.

These concluding blazes remind me of the biblical scriptures supporting the thoughts that those who are lost (not saved by Jesus’ sacrificial blood) will, in fact, face an everlasting burn that will never consume their bodies. (This particular “Burning Man” sculpture was outlined in multi-colored neon).
