This computer generated image comes from a previous painting of mine (Contrived Landscape). Here we see the landscape broken up into random,  individual image plates. (I remember Hockney experimenting with this idea long before me). This technique heightens the idea that we inhabitants of this world, Earth, only get one chance to take care of God’s garden He’s entrusted us with. And so far we’ve not done justice to that responsibility.

The sharp blackness permeating between these image plates reminds me of an oil spills’ disastrous effects upon our environment. Most sane people admit that our present administration has their respective heads buried in the sand when it comes to admitting the effects of global warming. Soon, maybe in his lifetime, Mr. Trump will get to bury his head in the sand sitting on his beach side porch.
