This painting is rendered to look like the nailed hand of Christ projecting from some of the 9-11 rubble left on the horizontal member of a cross girder salvaged from the wreckage of the Twin Tower disaster. Christ’s holed hand may well mirror any number of gruesome photographs taken of body parts from that carnage that the media has downplayed from public viewing–for good reasons.

In a parallel sense, as innocent Christ was nailed to a cross for the sins of humanity, so were these innocent 9-11 victims (approximately 3,000) sacrificed for the sake of satisfying the terrorists’ beliefs. It’s one thing (fair game) to bomb a country’s military and infrastructures (i.e. bridges, etc), but quite another to intentionally take just civilian lives. But many (my opinion) of these now deceased victims will have victory over their killers (and death itself) through the cross of Christ. For as Christ was raised from the grave, so shall we (Christians) be.

The cross is a Christian symbol of salvation to the Christians and probably damnation to everyone else outside of Christ. Pity, because it’s so easy to put on Christ (in baptism), yet so hard to walk the bottom line of obedience till death. And this bottom line isn’t a computation of who dies with the most marbles, but a mere tally of those who humbled themselves enough to accept Jesus’ pardon for their sins while they were yet, still alive and kicking. I therefore beseech you to not procrastinate your decision to become a child of God any longer. No one (except Jehovah Himself) knows the hour in which Jesus will return. If you haven’t come to Christ before then, anytime afterward is literally too late. You’re going to get thrown under the bus of hell by your own hand of omission.

PS: Initially, we (Americas) were predominately a Christian nation, but still accepted different faiths. I pray that God doesn’t hold Americans to account (like HE did of the Jews) for their tolerance in letting these other faiths to be practiced in our/their midst. Remember, it was the gods of foreign women that led the smartest man alive at the time (King Solomon) to stray from The Almighty God.
