Yeah, that’s the Donald–with a typical open mouth–continually lam basting (like in “you sons of a bitches,”) the NFL players for not standing during the playing of the national anthem. He wants their heads to roll (get fired), if they don’t stand. Yes, he saluting the American flag (that he’s creatively wearing–my artistic license). But by that same gesture, he’s simultaneously condoning the unnecessary roughness of the NFL players. (In case you didn’t catch it, his right-hand gesture (salute) is also an NFL’s official visual signal for the unnecessary roughness penalty).

Trump has stated that the NFL is getting “soft” in enacting new rules to keep the players safe while delivering excruciating hits. He claims it’s becoming a game for sissies. Easy spoken by a man who has never experienced any sort of physical contact anywhere near that level of play. It reminds me of Trump’s degrading of Senator John McCain’s military service by one who has never placed his life in harm’s way for his country like John did. Such a hypocrite.

It’s my contention that Trump’s being unnecessarily rough with these NFL protesters (and LeBron James, too) by being relentless in his disapproval of them. He’s got the majority of Americans on his patriotic side, so, apparently, he’s going to ride that same boat of favorable belief until it either runs out of gas or he runs it aground. He’s certainly capable of both!
