Usually when we use the phrase, ‘Shooting Stars,” we’re referring to seeing a star’s movement, burning and loosing it’s particular position in the night sky.
Well, shooting (specifically, with an AR-15 rifle) beloved child school stars isn’t much different in the final analysis: both go out of existence! Of course the universe star has lived exponentially longer, but it doesn’t realize it. Nor does it matter. But the trauma experienced by our school age children, who are fortunate enough to have survive mass killings, will haunt them for the rest of their lives. And their kin folk along with them.
America’s 2nd Amendment rights are killing us (and more specifically school age children). Other nations have great success in limiting mass killings by very restrictive gun laws. Why can’t we follow suit? Is it because Republicans and the NRA love guns more than their sons (and daughters)? Republicans further a motto of “Guns and God.” How is it more godly to make guns available, when, in fact, more guns are directionally proportional to more shootings?
Jesus kingdom (while on Earth) isn’t established through physical force. Quite the contrary. If our society can kill our presidents with all their securities surrounding them 24/7, them what kind of chance for survival does an individual have–packing or not? Republican’s track record for its motto (“Guns and God”) should read, “God without Guns.“ Are the Republicans /NRA willing to sacrifice some of the availability of guns for the lives of their children and grand children. When you cut to the chase, “It’s either Guns Or Kids!”
