These days, most Republican congress people try to avoid any specific questions about their direct affiliation with Donald Trump. They don’t want to promote him because they don’t want to parrot his lies about the 2020 election results. Yet, a goodly number still find it (a) necessary (evil) to align with Trump’s political power in order to secure winning local (mid-term) elections. Can they have their cake and eat it to? That answer remains to be seen, but I pray not!

Are they selling their souls to the Devil (the January 6th insurrectionists Donald Trump) for a bite what they think is of his tasty cake? Oh, the grass always looks greener on the other side, doesn’t it ? Problem is you have to venture to the other side to find out for sure. But once there, it’s usually too late to return, if dissatisfied.

Donald Trump, the Republican elephant, may have reluctantly left the building (White House) after the 2020 election, but, unfortunately, his powerful, political shadow still remains in Washington as an overbearing threat to any that oppose his views (lies). (Capitol columns morphing into jail bars representing Trump’s potential imprisonment for his high crimes against us Americans and our Democracy). We would hope that after witnessing the hard evidence presented by the Jan. 6th Investigation Committee, the DOJ has enough gumption to prosecute Trump for the crimes he’s committed against the American people and their Democracy.

Yesterday, at his press conference (Tuesday the 26th of July, 2022),  Joe Biden summed up Trump inconsistencies: “You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-cop,” Biden said. “You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-democracy. You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-American.” (Hey, Donald), “You can’t have your cake and eat it too.” was written in a letter from Thomas, Duke of Norfolk to Thomas Cromwell in 1538. The quote reminds me of Jesus stating you can’t serve two masters (especially simultaneously). It’s either God or mammon, but not both, and certainly not  equally. I like Joe Biden, but I believe he must reconcile his pro-abortion and same sex marriages stance with not only we Americans but God Almighty Himself.
