The acquittal on all charges in the Kyle Rittenhouse trail leaves at lot to be reckoned with. I guess whether or not you agree with the verdict depends on which side of the political fence you claim.

For me, Kyle, who is a young and dumb teenager by most accounts, came to a protest rally carrying a fully-loaded AK-47 rifle, looking for an opportunity (OK, excuse) to use it. And, apparently, he got it. His rifle-totting presents on the scene was enough visual aggression to draw the attention of other protesters not of his mindset. But I’m in total agreement with what what Ahmaud Arbery’s attorney, Dunikoski said: “You can’t be the unjustified aggressor. You can’t create the situation and then say that you were defending yourself.

Somehow, his defense lawyers convinced an overly, white populated jury, that Kyle was the victim, and well within his NRA rights, to shoot and kill two persons and injure a third, all in the name of self defense. Had Kyle been black, he’d have gotten death. But since he wasn’t, he’s praised by conservatives as being a hero and cursed by the liberals for being a vigilante.

Kyle’s acquittal just seems to add more fire-power to the sanctioning of even more guns being carried (concealed or not) into our overly gun-saturated communities in the name of self defense–or should I say–self-offence. Oh, what a mess we all have created with the continued misuse of our God given free wills. Come quickly Lord Jesus.

As the apostle Paul once said, “All things are lawful (guns, unfortunately), but not all things (guns) are beneficial.” 1 Cor. 10:23 To me, the invention of guns parallels the invention of nuclear energy–only it’s much worse in its destruction and affects all of humanity, even if it were to hide underground indefinitely.
