Hospitals are again overwhelmed with this new Delta variant, only much more so than before. Doctors, and especially nurses, are bolting out of overworked hospital staff shortages for traveling positions that are certainly less stressful and pay nearly double. Others are choosing early retirement. Some personnel have even stated that unvaccinated people should not only be placed at the end of the waiting line, but not even be initially admitted. Seems harsh, but those patients, who are not vaccinated, are the very ones placing the attending nurses in death’s grasp. And it’s a situation that is easily remedied beforehand with a simple decision to get inoculated on behalf of yourself and, more importantly, others.
