These are but a few of my creations in glass block that take on character of their own when illuminated. Instead of the light being merely reflected, as it would be in an opaque sculpture, here, the translucent sculptures “capture” the light. They appear to be the illuminating source of light in and of themselves. Of course, different colored projected lights would provide a verity of  different moods.

Because glass block comes in limited sizes and shapes, exact replicas of worldly subject matter is almost impossible to acheive. But that fact is a blessing in disguise, because the viewer has to become more interactive in attempting to connect the dots to identify what now becomes “whimsical” sculptures.
