Early in this year (2022), our American Supreme Court is going to attempt to rule once again on the Roe Vs, Wade abortion issue. There’s little doubt that the recent Texas’ restrictive abortion ban after six-weeks of pregnancy is going to positively impact their decisions to the right.

But there’s a whole bunch of factors that enter into the abortion issue. Conservatives (generally Republicans and/or Evangelics) tend to think that any abortion at any time passed conception is downright murder. They believe having an abortion is totally against the Christian God’s code of morality. And generally speaking, there’s little or no wiggle room for extenuating circumstances like rape, incest or the mother and/or baby’s health. They are convinced that there’s plenty of families out there that are more than willing to adopt a mother’s unwanted baby.

Conversely, the Pro-Choicers believe an abortion should be left entirely up to the mother. It’s her body, it should be her decision–exclusively–without government (and/or Godly?) intervention.

Of course the debate encompasses all kinds of arguments in the in-between as to when a fetus is deemed to be viable or not. But one thing remains glaringly certain: legally abolishing abortion will place more pregnant mothers’ health at risk because of back-alley abortions and coat-hanger extractions. Not to mention the possibilities of killing a potentially notable personage of our world along with its mother.
