Derek Chauvin’s guilty verdicts were no doubt justified. Hopefully, these verdicts will continue to catalyze revamping systemic racial injustice. Cops have a difficult job, and they need an unbiased, clean slate to make split-second decisions–correctly. Yes, cops put their lives on the line everyday, but the people they are sworn to protect shouldn’t have to fear for their very lives because of a simple taillight malfunction. If America can train more “user-friendly” cops, maybe we can get back our respect for local police enforcement that we harbor for our National Guardsmen.
