Trump’s done it again: committed another felony. This time illegally removing classified “top secret” documents (and the lesser) from his White House exit to his Mar-a-Logo residence in Florida. The DOJ tried its level headed best to obtain all the classified materials willingly from Trump over an extended amount of time, but he only gave them scraps. The DOJ raid on Trumps residence has proved to be valid.
Trump has barely escaped impeachment twice, only because he holds such mystifying power over Republicans. His lies about how the results of the 2020 election came about are still under the scrutiny of the 2022, January 6th Investigating Committee. Hopefully, that committee’s final result will prompt the DOJ to file felony charges against Trump for his part in the US Capitol insurrection.
If that doesn’t do the trick, then maybe, just maybe, his illegal removal of classified material from the White House will provide enough evidence to finally nail his political coffin shut–permanently–for the rest of his tainted life. And also provide him with, at least, temporary housing using steel bars as an accent wall.
In retrospect, we had a past president (Nixon), who attempted a cover-up of his political party’s break in of the DNC’s Watergate building complex. Afterward, President Nixon, resigned. Donald Trump arbitrarily steals “TOP SECRET” US classified information like it belonged to him personally. But Trump doesn’t have enough character to ever admit he’s in the wrong. Watergate is peanuts compared to Trumpgate! How much more overwhelming evidence (include the two impeachment trails) does the DOJ need to prosecute? Any other president would have been prosecuted and sentenced long ago. Go figure.
