I don’t know exactly how we got to the point of politicizing mask wearing, but Mr. Trump has had more than his share of negative influence for not donning one. Trump finally admits that it’s a good idea to wear one when you can’t correctly socially distance from another, but he still refuses to wear one in public–at least in front of the TV cameras. You can’t be a macho man (Republican?), if you succumb to mask wearing now can you?

If you’re a Christian (and probably a Republican too) and you don’t wear masks, is that because you’re trusting in God to protect you from infection. Or, as I (a Christian also) see it, wearing a mask is not putting God to the test to protect you–like Jesus didn’t put His Father, Jehovah, to the test to protect Him in the wilderness temptations.

The bottom line for me is to adhere as much as possible to the Golden Rule on whether or not to mask: If you don’t care that much about protecting yourself, at least care enough about protecting others from infection–especially if you happen to be asymptomatic. When in doubt, err on the side of caution–please!

The Bidens attend church regularly. The closest Trump gets to a church other than Easter and Christmas are photo–ops beside a closed DC church’s marquee. I say this because Democrats are usually viewed as being less religious than Republicans, although the Democrats are mostly responsible for keeping our present president accountable to our Constitution and its citizenry. Amen?
