Dancing in the Shadows is a joyful book, of stories from a guy who’s been there and let it go. From circles of fame to an actual regular guy. Larry’s post-professional sports career is as a fine arts painter and visual artist. Not something you’d expect from a former professional athlete. Most of the stories told in Dancing in the Shadows are told for the first time. Nothing scandalous, but revealing just the same. About the way we were, who we are, and the joy in just being part of God’s creation.

The book is printed in black and white. The ebook is in full color. You can see the difference in the samples at the bottom of each product page.

Description

Dancing in the Shadows is the auto-biographical telling of the life and times of Larry Gagner. Larry who? Yes, Larry Gagner.  Surviving peripheral “fame and fortune,” Larry learned to enjoy life as just himself. Life got better, not worse, once he retired from professional football.

For years Larry was in the center of public attention, without being the particular person of interest. Larry is a former offensive lineman, in the sport of (American) football. A four year starter with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he got there as a 1965 Gator All American football player. All American players are the best of the best in all of American College Football for that year.

Even the best of the best supporting players go largely unnoticed outside of their time of play. They play in the shadows of the “star” positions. These guys are an integral part of fame, fortune and public celebration, without being particularly famous, rich, or publicly celebrated.
