The “Z” letterform started appearing on Russian tanks at the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It, now, mostly represents victory, although different meanings have been formerly attached.
Now we’re seeing that “Z” pasted over many of the buildings throughout Russia besides the Kremlin. Putin’s using it as propaganda symbol of soldiery. The soldiery of totalitarianism.
Putin’s gotten rid of the “free” media. Anyone who speaks out against his regime, stands a great chance of being arrested. Sounds like Hitler’s Gestapo MO to me. And Putin is further strongly suggesting that Russians have at least eight children. More bodies to support his insatiable appetite to recapture the countries that were once considered Russian, but are now mostly democratic countries.
I fear that this fight between the democratic nations vs. the dictatorial ones is going to do us all in–eventually. God help us because we’re incapable of doing so ourselves.
The “Bash” in the title can go two ways: first, a celebration (in the form of a “Z”) of what Putin considers victory in the battle over Ukraine, but secondly, and more importantly, the condemning of such with the vultures’ excrement dropping unto buildings in the form of washed out “Z’.
