Out with the old and in with the new. Roe v Wade gets overturned from some fifty years of staying in relative place. Now, women don’t have a Constitutional right to an abortion (with little or no complications, that is). And that’s basically a good thing (as long as it includes exceptions for rape, incest, and the mother’s/baby’s health). So SCOTUS just kicked the abortion ball back to the individual states to determine what their positions on abortion will be. That’s a no brainer: red states immediately passed laws to limit abortion drastically. Blue states are struggling to keep abortion afloat. We definitely have a divided America, and the fact that SCOTUS is tilted decidedly conservative doesn’t necessarily improve the situation.
