I just read an article that suggested that there are two distinct evangelical religious groups presently residing in America. The first one being the age old group that plugs into the Body of Christ on a regular basics. This groups’ numbers are significantly decreasing throughout the USA. The other one, apply labeled Trump’s evangelicals, don’t go to church at all (except maybe Christmas and/Easter). Their numbers are apparently increasing. Are they evangelicals in name only, for say political reasons?
Any Christian worth their salt knows perfectly well that there’s no salvation outside the Body of Christ. Christians need the constant connection to The Body (The Church) of Christ to keep the world at bay. Regular attendance isn’t a choice. It’s a prerequisite to your obedience to Christ. Moreover, you’re commanded to take communion the first day of the week (Sunday) until you die.
