Well, now that Trump has been SCOTUS granted almost complete presidential immunity while as President from 2016 through 2019, a certain amount of kingship also has been added to the USA Presidential office that wasn’t originally intended by our US Constitution signees.
This SCOTUS ruling gives Trump a leg up on the presidential competition–to say the least. Now, it seems as though Trump will not have to stand trail for three other criminal indictments before the 2024 Presidential Elections.
I have to laugh at the sign in between Trump’s hands that I got from a protester. If Trump were true to himself, he’d be the one disqualifying himself (not Biden) on the grounds that he is a tyrant but masquerades as the champion of the radical right’s Christian Nationalism.
I have no earthly idea why evangelical Christians would nominate the likes of a Donald Trump. He represents everything in an individual that is contrary to Christian principles, except his influencing in flipping Roe vs. Wade. And that’s just not nearly enough to overcome all his violent rhetoric conceding vengeance, no climate control initiatives, not budding-up with our allies on Paris peace accords, etc. etc. etc. The negative list goes on and on…..
Trump’s a narcissist, and he isn’t going to change. Not for our country’s good, and certainly not for Jesus Christ‘s Christian evangelicals. Although he’s more than willing to do almost anything to have them back him as a presidential candidate–short of becoming a Christian himself. A man simply can’t act like Trump acts and be in obedience to Christ. And if he’s not a Christian, he needs to stop being the front man for Christian photo ops. It’s just plain and simple hypocrisy!
