Well, SCOTUS has just made it official. Yesterday (6/13/2024), they’ve made the ban on bump stock illegal. Which basically means that guns can be legally modified to fire as automatic weapons, similar to the machine gun.

I knew that the conservative judges were in bed with the NRA, but aren’t they also supposed to protect us from killing ourselves more readily by limiting the means to do so?

This is definitely a step in the wrong direction! I’m sure our police forces aren’t too happy with their “liberal”  ruling either. More bullets being fired equal more people dead. Kind of reminds me of a machine gun nest in WW11 being able to pin down a whole battalion of troops. Still, opposing troops have a fighting chance. Unsuspecting civilians don’t!
