The United States’ proliferation of guns is as American as our apple pie–unfortunately. But eating apple pie doesn’t kill you. At least not as fast anyway. And, try as you might, you can’t shoot a person to death with a piece of pie. But when guns are as accessible as apple pie, contemporary America becomes the Wild West revisited.

Instead of passing significant restrictions on gun ownership, some states (and SCOTUS) are making it easier to pack a weapon in public. Go figure. Republicans safeguard the unborn till birth, but once out of womb, a child is fair game for their legislation to uphold their 2nd amendment rights by strangling any meaningful gun restrictions. They giveth and they taketh away (life) simultaneously
