Well. America, you went and did it again. You made the same mistake twice. You elected Donald Trump your 47th President. But this time around he’s a convicted criminal, who only escaped incarceration by having his fancy lawyers delay, delay, and delay his court dates until they would have overlapped his taking the office of the Presidency of the USA.
Too bad because now Trump would have the power to fire Jack Smith, the special prosecutor who brought the 2024 Presidential election interference case against him. Jack recently gave up his position. Now Trump can’t boast about saying, “You’re fired.”
Of course Trump’s plan all along was to get into the White House in 2024/5 so that he would be in a position to pardon himself of the ongoing criminal indictments, if need be (since you can’t indict a sitting US President). Furthermore, Trump has pledge to pardon many of the Jan. 6th, 2021 insurrectionists for their part in the US Capital uprising. Ironically, Trump claims to be an advocate for law and order, but the second things don’t go his way, he doesn’t hesitate to place himself and others above the law.
Trump’s planned mass deportations of illegal immigrants on day one of taking office is going to backfire on him and Americas will pay the consequences. Who will work the construction, agriculture, home care, and hospitality jobs of our nation? We already have a gross housing shortage. With substantially less construction workers after mass deportations that shortage becomes exponentially worse.
They say Trump got the Latino vote. I don’t figure it. Why would a Latino vote for a US President who is more likely than not to deport another Latino (moreover, kinfolk) from Central America–illegal or not?
The freedoms that our US Constitution guarantees (DEI, Woke and CRT) seem to be in direct conflict with what the Republicans are pushing. Our founding fathers had a reason for the separation of church and state. This nation was built upon religious freedom. If you place the Ten Commandments on the school blackboard, you’re going to have to honor any other religious dogmas to be viewed also.
Make no mistake, I’m a fifty year old Christian who believes that furthering the cause of Christ doesn’t come as the result of Christian Nationalism. Christ didn’t set up a Christian governmental system with little or no choices otherwise. To do so, would have been an infringement on our God-giver free will. Christ respects our free will that He gave us. Who are you (Republicans) to limit it in any way, shape, or form?
