SCOTUS justice Clarence Alito apparently allowed his wife to display an American flag upside down for at least a couple of days at their residence. She says she did that in response to a neighbor’s lawn signs. The details are sketchy at best. Later, “An Appeal to Heaven” flag was flown at their summer residence. Both times, Samuel Alito claims he had no knowledge of beforehand. Yeah, right!

Identical upside down American flags and “An Appeal to Heaven” flags were both displayed at the January 6th, 2021 Capitol Insurrection by the radical right (Christians?). How does a conservative SCOTUS justice remain unbiased in Trump’s immunity case before them when he allows his wife to display our flag in a disloyal manner that  seems to give validity to the January 6th Insurrectionists? Isn’t the fact that the conservative judges outnumber the liberals two to one enough of an unequal package to question the fairness of any of their decisions?  We don’t need to add more fodder to the fire.

Alito should definitely recuse himself from judging Trump’s immunity case.
