Hooked, in the sense that Jehovah God is reeling us (Christians) in via HIS Son, Jesus. Jesus took our sins upon Himself (red lettered JES) giving US (in green) life everlasting in the heavenly realm. Notice, if you will, that the fish of color become neutral gray in Jesus Christ. If we Christians expect to meet our savior, Jesus, in the clouds, we can expect to experience a certain amount of persecution, here on Earth, before our resurrection. So, the fishing hook through the eye represents our being fishers of men, but also, our persecution in Christian evangelizing.
