It’s no secret that Republican minded Americans are pro-lifers, and I for one, certainly don’t have a problem with that–especially being a Christian myself.
Foe me, the problem arises when these very Republicans (i.e., evangelicals for the most part) cry foul about abortion, yet won’t knowledge climate change nor do anything about correcting its disastrous path towards dooming mankind in the time span of a century or less.
Simply stated, you can’t support pro-life, antiabortion efforts and not support environmental protection safeguards also. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. If you can’t breath because the air is too polluted with CO2, neither can your fetus. You can’t say abortion is killing innocent fetuses while at peace with global warming. Abortion kills immediately: global warming takes longer, but is eventually much more devastating. You can’t live in God’s garden Earth without taking care of it, and you can’t value the life of the unborn if you kill it while in the womb–or subject it to life threading conditions after it’s born.
Morally, you might be more inclined to be a pro-lifer, than a pro-environmentalists, but the two are intrinsically linked whether you want to admit to it or not. That almost makes reducing global warming a prerequisite to reducing global abortions the way I see it.
PS: In case you didn’t notice it, those are teal and black and white colored ventilator hoses seconding as smoke stacks.
